The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority has issued a flood and safety outlook.

CAO Brian Tayler says as a system of 30 mm of snow, rain and freezing rain comes into the area the existing snowpack will continue to melt before the temperature drops to more seasonal values Saturday night.

He says the temperatures will rise again early next week causing more snow to melt.

Tayler says the situation will create the likelihood of hazardous conditions.
