A couple of solidarity rallies are planned for today (Saturday) involving Stop Energy East North Bay.

First, area residents concerned about climate change and water protection will rally at 2pm at the Gateway Arch in Lee Park.

They’re celebrating the victory of thousands of protesters against a pipeline in North Dakota.

Meantime, with pipelines approved in Western Canada, a second rally calling for real climate action is taking place at 3 pm in front of MP Anthony Rota’s office on Main West.
