Relay for hope

Mylan Pharmaceutical and the Canadian AIDS Society has teamed up for an HIV/AIDS awareness tour.

36 runners will travel across the country in support of the cause.

Communications Coordinator for the AIDS Committee of North Bay and Area is Kirk Titmus, and he says it’s a unique and successful fundraiser.

Sofia Tuttle is one of three runners who passed through North Bay today (Monday).

Tuttle is from Atlanta, Georgia and found out about the event online. She says it was a great chance to help a great cause.

It started on April 21st, in St. John’s Newfoundland and will wrap up in October in Hope, B.C. Runners participate in various lengths of the run.

François Jarry is from Montreal, and North Bay was his last leg. He says he enjoyed being part of a great cause.

Delaney Brown is from London, and she was finishing her run with a stop in North Bay. She says they have been able to get the message out along their run which she started in Toronto.


The Mylan Relay for Hope has raised $8,000 dollars so far.
