Tiny Italy Concept ArtAdding some vibrancy to the downtown core; that’s how Deputy Mayor Sheldon Forgette describes Councils approval of an outdoor patio.

They have officially allowed Tiny Italy to have patrons outside of their establishment.

Forgette describes the process restaurant owner Filippo Suriano will now have to complete. He says the restaurant owners are renting three parking spaces just outside their establishment for the summer months.

They will then build an accessible sidewalk in the parking spaces, so their patrons can sit along the existing sidewalk.

Forgette says he hopes this will be looked at as a trial process – to encourage further development for other downtown restaurants.
