Police (north bay)

City Police had a busy day yesterday.

First, someone walked in a downtown motel and emptied the cash register.  And then a drug search warrant was executed on McLeod Street.

Police had just arrested the suspects and were inside the residential unit investigating.  That’s when Police say a man with a bag full of suspected stolen clothes and shoes knocked on the door and he was arrested.

And it doesn’t end there

 

Then, a suspect in the motel theft knocked on the door and he was arrested.

As a result of the three investigations charges were laid. In all 4 people were charged.

A 51 year old city male with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

A 34 year old male of no fixed address with two counts of theft under $5,000.

A 44 year old North Bay woman, Jennifer Lynn Durst,  with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and Trevon Cheyne Figaro of Mississauga with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

Police seized 28 grams of cocaine with a street value of $2,800 plus $8800 worth of Canadian currency.
